Oct. 18-20 event will be in Omaha
LINCOLN, NEB. (Aug. 10, 2011)—Online registration is now available for the 2011 Nebraska Travel Conference from Oct. 18-20 at the Ramada Plaza Omaha Hotel.
Anyone interested in learning more about tourism, Nebraska’s third leading industry, is encouraged to register and attend the conference. Printed registration materials are being mailed today.
Online registration is available at VisitNebraska.gov/tcregistration. A special conference hotel rate of $104 per night (plus 19 percent tax) will be available until Oct. 8. Call 402-393-3950 and ask for the Nebraska Travel Conference rate to reserve your room.
Conference delegates will learn about promoting partnerships, prospering in a down economy, social media, volunteer recruitment and agri-culinary tourism.
The conference will wrap up with an awards banquet recognizing exceptional achievements in tourism in 2011. Award nomination forms for nine categories, including outstanding event and outstanding attraction, are available at industry.visitnebraska.org/pdfs/2011IndustryAwardsNomination.pdf and due Sept. 9.
The conference is organized by the Nebraska Department of Economic Development’s Travel and Tourism Division and hosted by the city of Omaha.
