Omaha conference will ‘rock’
LINCOLN, NEB. (Oct. 5, 2011)—Don’t miss your opportunity to discover how “Omaha Rocks” during the 2011 Nebraska Travel Conference.
This year’s conference will be Oct. 18-20 at the Ramada Plaza Omaha Hotel and Convention Center - CoCo Key Water Resort, 3321 S. 72nd St. Anyone interested in learning more about tourism is encouraged to attend the travel conference, which is organized by the Nebraska Department of Economic Development’s Travel and Tourism Division.
Registration for the conference ends Oct. 11. Online registration is available at VisitNebraska.gov/tcregistration. A special hotel rate is available until Oct. 8. Reservations can be made by calling 402-393-3950. Be sure to mention you are attending the Nebraska Travel Conference.
The annual conference educates members of the tourism industry on how to grow their businesses and how to put Nebraska at the forefront of travelers’ minds. Conference delegates will learn about promoting partnerships, prospering in a down economy, social media, volunteer recruitment and agri-culinary tourism.
Omaha will welcome delegates with a “rock-and-roll” evening featuring Omaha Rocks Blazin’ Pianos at DJ’s Dugout on Wednesday night, Oct. 19. The fast-paced, high-energy musical improv show will keep you laughing as you’re entertained by one of the hottest dueling piano shows in Nebraska. Come see why Omaha Rocks!
The conference will wrap up with an awards ceremony featuring Gov. Dave Heineman and recognizing outstanding achievements in tourism in 2011.
